| Swapper Network Spam Policy ZERO TOLERANCE UPDATED on 11/09/2002 Intended Use Policy - The intended use of thisweb site is for you to personally meet people. Any messages, profile advertising, forum postings etc.that fall outside of you trying to personally meet peoplecan be considered spam. SPAM is classified as unsolicited promotionalmessages sent to other users - whether there is an invested interest by the spammeror not.Ok, so what does this mean? It means leave your business at the door.It also means that attempting to use our database to get a large group of people together for an event/party/gathering/group where you have no intention of personally meeting all those who you have sent messages to will be considered spam. This web site is a place for you to meet people on a personal or intimate level. Do not attempt to contact people for the sole purpose of promoting an event, another website or a club. The worst spam offenders are usually Swingers Clubs and pay web sites. We define a pay web site as any web site that charges you to become a member - even if they have a free trial period or allow unlimited free time to certain areas or the site. If you are sending your fellow members links to your pay web site or are promoting someone else's pay site, you are gone - PERIOD - ZERO TOLERANCE. If you own a swingers club or host regular swingers' events and you are advertising your club/party/group/event etc.within your profile or you are sending promotional messages to other members to boost attendance at your club or event, you will be removed from this web site - ZERO TOLERANCE. Plain and simple. We have a club listings page for you to promote your club and we will work with you at a more than reasonable rate. We also provide party packages at very reasonable rates as well. We are having a party at our house, will we get in trouble for sending out invitations? Not if you are having a small party in your home and are not asking for donations. It is not considered a small party when 50, 150 or 200 messages are sent to everyone within 100 miles of your home - most especially if you are charging anything to attend. (Yes, even if you call it a donation. There are other ways to cover your costs; pot luck dinners, BYOB, BYOC, etc.) I know this great club/event etc. and want to ask my friends to meet me there. Is this spam? Certainly not. If you want to meet a few friends on a certain night, this is not spam. You are not promoting the club, just meeting there. However, if you OWN the club, have a vested interest in it or are afilliated with its owners or a host couple, then it may be easily misconstrued as spam and we would have to decide based on how many people you've asked to meet you at that club on a certain night. Is one couple capable of meeting 100 other couples on the same night? We don't think so and neither would most people. Why are you making a big deal about this? There are several reasons that it is important to try to control spam. The most important one is that you, as a user of this web site, should expect it. Regular e-mail shuffles enough crap into your regular mailboxes, you should be entitled to freedom from it here on the Swapper Network. As well, if you paid to be part of an interactive web site, you should expect it to be populated in order for it to be interactive. Allowing people to send members to other web sites - paid or free - decreases the online population. Nine times out of ten, spammers are caught by user-filed complaints. The message there is plain - members here EXPECT us to keep the spam out of their mailboxes. This policy is a simple one. It means that you, as a user of this system, agree to not send promotional messages to other members in an attempt to get them to pay for goods or services or attend an event or club. You, as a user of this web site, agree to try to use common sense when sending messages to others keeping in mind the original intent of the web site (that YOU will only send messages to people that you are interested in personally meeting). If you are intentionally spamming, deliberately trying to gain free access to our user base to better your business/promote an event or club etc., your account will be immediately removed and you will not be entitled to a refund if it was a paid account. We have removed many accounts of people that felt this policy did not apply to them. Trust us, if it fits the above descriptions and circumstances, it does. ZERO TOLERANCE.
