Term Definition
AC/DC Person who enjoys both same sex and opposite sex sexual activity; Bi; Bisexual.
ADULT Euphemism for pornographic.
ALL CULTURES Person or couple who enjoys all fetishes and sexual activities (see CULTURE)
AMERICAN CULTURE Man on top, the missionary position.
ANAL SEX Anal intercourse; see Greek, Greek Culture.
ANALINGUS Oral contact or stimulation of the anus of one partner by kissing, licking, or sucking of the other.
ANIMAL TRAINING (See Bestiality)
ARG Alternate Relationship Geometries.
ARTS Euphemism for fetishes (see CULTURE)
ATTRACTIVE A buzz word meaning the way the user likes people to look. Also, the way the user believes him/ herself to look. Which, of course, tells you nothing.
B&D or B/D Bondage and discipline; use of various methods to restrain someone while administering discipline, usually done by a 'master' to his/her 'slave'. (see also BONDAGE, DISCIPLINE)
BABY SWINGER A person who is new to swinging.
BAR [Swingers] A restaurant or cocktail lounge that is periodically open exclusively for swingers. Overt sexual activities usually are not sanctioned on the premises.
BARBIE & KEN [or Ken & Barbie] A reference used by some swingers to disparage the expectation of pleasing proportions. As in: 'I trust you're not looking for Barbie and Ken.'
BBW Big Beautiful Woman; Referring to women that may not be their ideal weight, but are still very attractive.
BESTIALITY Sexual relations between a human being and a lower animal. Definitely NOT welcome on this web site.
BI Bisexual: Versatile (see also AC/DC)
BI-CURIOUS A Male or Female who is interested in trying same-sex activities.
BI-PLAYFUL Describes a person who feels no attraction to the same gender but who has no hang-ups that preclude a bit of friendly fooling around when the situation seems to call for it. (see SOCIALLY BI)
BIZARRE Unusual sexual desires.
BONDAGE A sexual fetish in which restraints such as ropes, chains, cloth or leather straps are used to bind, tie or hold a participating sexual partner. The person doing the binding is considered 'DOMINANT' while the person being bound is considered 'submissive.'
BUKKAKE Japanese-origin; Referring to "facials" or men cumming all over a woman`s face. Drinking cum or a gangbang where all the men gather around the woman and ejaculate over her face and breasts.
CAN ENTERTAIN Advertiser willing to invite others to their home for swinging.
CAN TRAVEL Advertiser willing to travel to your home to swing. (see TRAVEL)
CANING A spanking fetish employing a light cane usually bamboo or other light wood.
CHEATING Sexual activity with others without spouse`s knowledge and/or consent.
CLEAN Hygienic; Free of sexually transmitted diseases.
CLOSED DOOR (also CLOSED SWINGING) Sexual interaction among couples using separate rooms, usually in the same house. Provides a maximum of privacy.
CLOSET SWINGER A person who hides the fact that he/she is a swinger. (see DISCREET)
CLUB [Swingers] A place temporarily or permanently managed by a group where swingers may meet. Clubs commonly have a bar of some sort and a dance floor, and often offer a spa and/or a swimming pool. An 'on-premise' club will have separate rooms with beds, or at least mattresses for sexual play. At an 'off-premise' club, no beds are available and sexual contact is more or less restricted.
CMA Cover My Ass or Covering My Ass; Protecting or protection.
COLONIC WATER SPORTS The giving and/or receiving of enemas as a sexual stimulus. Sometimes the liquid is held in the rectum with the aid of a plug while fucking. Note: the term 'Water Sports' alone is a reference to urination.
COMARITAL SEX (RELATIONS) Consensual sex between and among married couples or significant dyads.
CONSENSUAL ADULTERY Sexual activity on the part of one or both marriage partners that takes place away from the spouse, yet with the knowledge and approval of the spouse.
CORPORATE MARRIAGE A group marriage in which all adult participants own equal shares of stock in a legal corporation set up to control family assets. For more about this, see Robert Rimmer's novel Proposition 31.
COUPLE or CPL Any combination of two people. May be married, living together (cohabitating), committed (to each other or others) or a singles pairing for swinging purposes.
CREAMPIE Refers to the practice of performing cunnilingus on a woman immediately after a man (or men) has ejaculated inside her.
CROSSDRESSER A person who receives sexual gratification by wearing clothes identified with the opposite sex, not necessarily homosexual. (see TRANSVESTITE)
CUCKOLD Originally, the term referred to any man whose wife is being unfaithful to him. In the swinging lifestyle, it usually refers to any man who enjoys watching his wife have sex with other men. Extreme cases include belittling or condescending comments, directed at the husband, by the wife or her lover while they are engaged in sex. See also MASOCHISM
CULTURE Euphemism for Fetish or Arts, A specific type of activity indicated by prefixing the name of a country or society that is supposedly known for such inclinations, as in 'Greek Culture' (anal) or 'French Culture' (oral).
CUNNILINGUS Oral stimulation of the vagina and clitoris.
CUT Circumsized
CYA Cover Your Ass or Covering your Ass; Protecting or protection.
CYCLIC MONOGAMY A relationship in which distinct periods are spent with each of several different spouses in rotation.
D/D Free Drug and Disease Free.
D/s Dominant/submissive relationship; see Master; another facet of B&D/S&M type relationships. Some people only do emotional D/s without and B&D or S&M.
DADT Don’t Ask Don’t Tell.
DAISY CHAIN A configuration of four or more people in which each person is orally stimulating the genitals of the person in front of him/her while simultaneously being stimulated orally by the person, if any, behind. If such a line forms a complete circle, the Daisy Chain is 'perfect.'
DILDO An artificial penis, usually made of rubber or plastic, for sexual stimulation of the vagina and sometimes the anus.
DIRECTOR The term used to describe the principal person who runs or otherwise operates a swing club, generally the owner. A person who works for the director and is responsible for party or club operation whether or not for pay, is generally called a Manager.
DISCIPLINE A sexual fetish in which one partner dominates the other, a willing participant. Often includes physical punishment of the submissive partner, ranges from physical restraint to mild spankings to painful beatings.
DISCREET (also DISCRETION) Asking those who write or call to exercise caution so that children or others who may open mail or answer phone will not be offended and/or made aware of the swinging activity.
DOCILE Willing to receive bondage and/or discipline (see SUBMISSIVE).
DOGGING Dogging is a British euphemism for engaging in sexual acts in a semi-public place (typically a secluded car park or a movie theater) or watching others doing so.
DOMESTIC TRAINING Submissive obedience to household chores of an intimate and humiliating nature.
DOMINANT A sexual partner in control of a willing submissive partner.
DYAD Two people as a couple.
ENGLISH CULTURE Sexual stimulation from spanking or caning.
EXHIBITIONIST Behavior in which an individual experiences sexual arousal or pleasure from displaying his/her body. Enjoys being watched.
EXPANDED FAMILY Any form of family that expands the nuclear family through inclusion of people and relationships by selection rather than by blood. As opposed to an 'extended' family, which is related by blood or marriage.
EXTRAMARITAL SEX (RELATIONS) Sexual activity without the participation and often without the approval or knowledge of the spouse.

FACIAL Refers to a woman allowing a man to ejaculate on her face; see also BUKKAKE
FELLATIO (also HEAD, BLOWJOB) Oral stimulation of the penis.
FETISH Sexual arousal and pleasure through use of non-sexual objects, actions or non-genital anatomy.
FF A dyad where both partners are female.
FFF A triad with three females, possibly a V centering on the middle female.
FFM A triad of a Female, another Female, and a Male, possibly a V centering on the middle female.
FISH FRY A rather tacky and un-politically correct term for a group of women (usually four or more) having same-sex relations while being observed by some or all of their male partners.
FLAGELLATION Sexual stimulation derived from pain, usually whipping or spanking.
FMF A triad of a Female, a Male, and another Female, possibly a V centering on the middle male.
FMM A triad of a Female, a Male, and another Male, possibly a V centering on the middle male.
FOUNTAIN OF VENUS Female urination.
FRENCH BATH A tongue bath.
FRENCH CULTURE Oral stimulation of the genitals; also a preference for Fellatio, Cunnilingus.
FUN AND GAMES Euphemism for sexual activity.
G/L/B/T or GLBT Gay Lesbian Bisexual Transgendered.
GAY A homosexual person, male or female. A gay female may also be called a Lesbian.
GBM Gay Black Man
GENEROUS Refers to money for sex; Solicitation; Prostitution.
GERMAN (CULTURE or ARTS) l. Erotic acts characterized by the stern disciplining of one partner by the other. 2. S/M.
GOLDEN SHOWERS Refers to engaging in pee play (pissing on someone or having them piss on you) in sexual activities.
GREEK CULTURE Anal-oriented sexual activity; also, a preference for anal sex.
GROUP MARRIAGE A group of four or more people in which all participants consider themselves to be married to every other participant.
GROUP ROOM At a party or club, a room set aside for group sex, generally furnished with wall-to- wall mattresses or pads. Term is prevalent in western US (see MATROOM).
GROUP SEX Swinging; Sexual activity between three or more people.

GWM Gay White Man
HARD CORE If people are called 'hard core' they are thought of as: (a) exercising little or no selectivity in choosing sex partners, and/or (b) participating in swinging with an almost religious fervor, as often as circumstances allow, and/or (c) wanting no more emotional or mental involvement than is absolutely necessary to complete the sexual encounter.
HARD CORE (also HARD SWINGING) A swing party or swing engagement where sexual interaction is assumed and expected.
HBB Hot Bi-Babe, a term used in wannas by men looking for sex with two women at the same time. It is also used (affectionately) by some poly people who feel that they (or others they know) really are Hot Bi-Babes. This term can be used for either sex.
HEAD Oral sex activity; 'Giving head' (see FRENCH)
HEAD JOCKEY A person who prefers oral-genital contact to genital-genital contact. Sometimes a man is motivated to earn this appellation because he has an exceptionally small penis or exceptional difficulty attaining an erection. A woman who suffers discomfort from vaginal penetration could do likewise.
HEAVIES A rather tacky and non-politically correct term usually meaning anyone who is over normal height/weight proportion (HWP).
HEDONIST Someone who lives for pleasure.
HETEROSEXUAL Sexual attraction to members of the opposite sex.
HNG Horny Net Geek Something resembling a wanna.
HOMOSEXUAL Sexual attraction to members of the same sex. (See GAY,LESBIAN)
HORIZONTAL People who enjoy swinging, as contrasted with 'vertical' folks who do not. As in 'This party will be a mix of my horizontal and vertical friends.'
HORNY Sexually excited or excitable; In need of sexual pleasure.
HPS High Priestess (a Wiccan/Pagan term)
HUNG Refers to a man with a large penis.
HWP Height-Weight Proportionate. Someone who is within their ideal body weight.
INDOOR or INDOOR SPORTS Swinging activities in general.
INTERESTED IN FRIENDSHIP Seeks a swinging relationship that includes emotional and recreational values.
INTIMATE NETWORK A group of nuclear families separately domiciled, but joined by a network of comarital relations.
IR COUPLE Interracial Couple
KING OF HEARTS A position involving one male who is being kissed on the lips by a female while simultaneously being fellated by another female. The term is based on the head-at-both-ends illustrations on playing cards.
KING OF THE MOUNTAIN One male being simultaneously stimulated by three or more people.
LDR Long Distance Relationship.
LEATHER A fetish; Sexual stimulation through the wearing or touching of leather or leather garments.
LESBIAN A woman sexually and emotionally attracted to other women. (see GAY)
LIGHT Implies a surface exploration without getting too heavily involved.
LINE MARRIAGE A group marriage that is open to the addition of younger members selected by the group, thus establishing a continuing family line through selection rather than birth.
LTR Long Term Relationship.
M Male.
MARITAL AIDS Dildos, vibrators, and other devices used for sexual pleasure of self and others; TOYS.
MARKED Tattooed or Pierced
MASOCHISM Sexual gratification through receiving pain and humiliation from others. MASOCHIST
MASTER/slave Participants in a bondage and discipline sexual relationship. (see B&D, BONDAGE, DISCIPLINE)
MATROOM Room set aside for group sex. Principally an eastern US term (see GROUP ROOM).
MBC Married Black Couple.
MBiC Married Bisexual Couple; usually means BOTH are bisexual.
MEET FOR PLEASURE Will meet for swinging sex; no pretense for social or emotional interaction not directly related to sexual activity.
MENAGE A` TROIS Three people, two of one sex, one of the opposite sex in a swinging interaction. (see THREESOME, TRIAD)
MFF A triad with a Male, Female, and another Female, possibly a V centering on the middle female.
MFM A triad with a Male, Female, and another Male, possibly a V centering on the middle female.
MILF An acronym for "Mother I'd Like to Fuck" or the less abrasive "Momma Is Looking Fine". Basically refers to a woman who has had a child or children and still looks sexy.
MIXED A biracial partnership.
MMM A triad with three males, possibly a V centering on the middle male.
MODERN MARRIEDS Sometimes used when advertising in a newspaper or magazine that is not sexually oriented. Indicates a married couple who enjoy some form of sexual interaction with others.
MORESOMES More than three people in a swinging interaction. (see GROUP SEX)
MOTAS Member Of The Appropriate Sex.
MOTOS Member Of The Opposite Sex.
MOTSS Member of the Same Sex.
MPW My Poly Weekend (what happened - good or bad - over the weekend)
MULTILATERAL SEXUALITY A broad term covering all sexual activities occurring between non-coupled people with the consent of all involved dyads. Includes swinging, group sex, co-marital sex, consensual adultery, etc. Does not include secret affairs or extramarital sex.
MWC Married White Couple.
N A 4 person relationship. Four people are having sex. Everyone may or may not have met each other or be friends but they know they exist; see Z.
NASCA North American Swing Club Association. An association of swing clubs and magazines to promote swinging as the viable and beneficial lifestyle it has become. Levels of members: Affiliate Club, General, Associate and Institutional for swing clubs and magazines, general swinging community, media and institutions of learning and research.
NEWCOMERS or NEWBIES New people in swinging; First-timers.
NONSMOKER Does not smoke. If used in personal ad means only those who do not smoke are sought for swinging purposes.
NRE New Relationship Energy, that lovely euphoria you experience when you become involved with a new love; the world seems brighter, people seem more beautiful and chocolate tastes even better.
NTS New Toy Syndrome; see NRE.
ODD Not even; weird; strange.
OFF-PREMISE No swinging takes place at the club or party; you meet and make your own arrangements. Recommended for newcomers.
ON-PREMISE Swinging takes place at the club or party; you meet and go into designated areas for sex onsite.
OPEN DOOR or OPEN SWINGING A couple swinging with another couple in the same room; Several or all participating couples together in the same room. A minimum of privacy.
OPEN MARRIAGE A fairly general term signifying cooperation between marriage partners without dependence, flexible roles, individual sanctity and growth, privacy, equality, trust, etc.
OPEN SEX (SWINGING) Sexual activity among two or more people that is open to the view and often the participation of other party attendees.

ORAL SEX See FRENCH CULTURE, CUNNILINGUS, FELLATIO, HEAD
ORE Old Relationship Energy or the valuable stuff you get from years of digging together.
ORGY Sexual interaction among several men and women in the same room; Complete abscence of inhibition in everyone taking part; group sex. See ROMAN CULTURE.
ORGY BUTTER Any of several lubricants used in sexual activities. [If this term strikes you as unaesthetic, don't even think about 'Crease Grease.']
ORIENTAL (CULTURE or ARTS) The least used and least-well-defined culture. Can mean the insertion into the anus and climactic yanking out of a beaded string. Sometimes used to indicate an interest in Ben Wa Balls, or any other product the user associates with the Orient.
OSO Other Significant Other.
OTOH On The Other Hand.
P/P Photo and phone number (used in personal ads).
PARTY Gathering of three or more people of both sexes for swinging; euphemism for 'have sex'.
PARTY CLOTHES Clothing particularly adapted for swing party wear, Includes wear to the party and wear to change into during the party. The latter includes robes, lingerie, terry cloth wrap-arounds and other simple wear that is easily removed, shows off the wearer to best advantage and often makes selected parts of the body easily available for erotic courting and play.
PARTY HOUSE A non-membership swing club offering a regular schedule of on-premise swing parties.
PASSIVE Submissive, willing to receive corrective training; Docile and submissive in swinging. (see DISCIPLINE)
PASSIVE BI Two different definitions - depends on who you talk to.
1. Can be bi if the other person initiates the contact
2. Will receive from the same sex, but may not give.
PC Politically Correct or Personal Computer.
PDA Public Display of Affection; or Personal Digital Assistant.
PET TRAINING (see Animal Training)
PHOTO Interested in exchange of nude or sexually explicit photos of self with similar photos of others.
PHOTOGRAPHY Interested in exchange and/or making of nude or sexually explicit photographs, color slides or movies with similar photographs, slides or movies of others; interested in meeting with others for the making of these photographs.
PIV Penis-In-Vagina (a certain type of sex).
PLAYCOUPLES A term devised by the Lifestyles Organization to describe 'both swingers and those couples who enjoy enhancing the eroticism in their lives but stop short of being swingers.'
PLL Poly Locator List or Phase Locked Loop if you`re a geek.
PMR Poly Mixed Relationship, one or more polyamorous, one or more monogamous.
PNW Poly NorthWest Pacific NorthWest.
POLYAMORY The currently fashionable term for multilateral relationships involving a broader commitment than normally associated with recreational sex. The proponents of polyamory expound a holistic view of multiple relationships, with an emphasis on love and shared responsibilities. In the past, this phenomenon has gone on under various labels, such as group marriage, expanded family, intimate network, and utopian swinging.
PRETZEL Any arrangement of four or more people simultaneously involved in mutual sexual stimulation, usually around a central person or couple.
PRIMARY BOND A dyadic relationship that takes precedence over other relationships.
PRO Professional; i.e. prostitutes or paid escorts.
PROFESSIONAL 1. A buzz word used to suggest that the user is better educated or higher class than the average advertiser. 2. Someone being paid for their sexual participation.
PWP Poly Wanna Potluck, a gathering of polyamorous people for food and conversation.
QUEEN OF HEARTS King of Hearts with the gender reversed.
QUEEN OF THE MAY One female being simultaneously stimulated by three or more people.
RECREATIONAL SWINGER A person who practices swinging primary as a recreational diversion; not interested in forming any long term friendship or emotional attachment; See also MEET FOR PLEASURE.
RESTRAINT Mild bondage used in sexual fantasy enactments; held down or held back.
RIMMING The act of using one`s tongue on the anus of their partner; oral to anal sex
ROMAN CULTURE or ROMAN Group sex, orgies, the party scene.
RUBBER Condom means of contraception; sexual stimulation through the look, feel and smell of rubber, usually associated with B&D.
S&M or S/M Sadism and Masochism; see SADISM, MASOCHISM.
SADISM a sexual interest in which gratification is obtained by the infliction of physical or mental pain on others (as on a love object); delight in cruelty; excessive cruelty. SADIST
SAFE Used to describe a person who cannot conceive or impregnate; a man who has had a vasectomy or a woman who has had a tubal ligation; Naturally or surgically sterile.
SAFE SEX A misnomer usually meant to indicate an insistence on the use of condoms during intercourse.
SAME-SEX Sexual interactions between two or more people of matching gender. This term describes an activity and does not imply a permanent psychological orientation or lifestyle as do the terms 'homosexual' and 'bisexual.'
SASE An acronym for Self-Addressed Stamped Envelope. 1. A way to imply popularity. 2. An indication of a monetary motivation for placing the advertisement.
SBF Single Black Female

SBM Single Black Male
SCAT Excrement play; feces; shit.
SERIAL MONOGAMY A succession of monogamous relationships of varying duration terminated by mutual agreement and/or divorce. Also called 'sequential monogamy.' Usually financially and emotionally disastrous, serial monogamy is a poor alternative to swinging.
SINGLE or SGL In swinging, available to play alone; being without a swinging partner. (does not refer to marital status)
SISL Stranger In A Strange Land – Book by Robert Heinlein.
SNOWFLAKE A symmetrical pretzel.
SO Significant Other.
SOCIAL A party, dance or other gathering usually sponsored by a swing club or magazine, for swingers to meet and socialize. There is no swinging at a social, but privately arranged swinging may follow a social.
SOCIAL SWING CLUB A swing club, generally private membership that offers social and swinging activities including a regular schedule of on-premise swing parties. They may also offer educational and travel activities. Usually there is a membership fee and either party fees, party donations or a regular maintenance fee or dues. Party attendance may be restricted to couples though the marital status of the couple is rarely important.
SOCIALLY BI Can be bi in a party environment, but doesn't normally seek same-sex relations outside swinging.
SODOMY Non-coital, especially anal or oral, copulation with either an opposite sex or same sex partner.
SOFT SWINGERS Couples who only have intercourse with their own partner. No swapping for intercourse.
SOFT SWINGING The term used to describe same-room sex, watching/being watched, or any sexual encounter up to, but not including intercourse, with someone other than your spouse. The first experience for many couples is some type of soft-swinging
SQUARE A buzz word indicating a person who is not as liberal as the user.
SRS Same Room Sex.
SSO Secondary Significant Other.
STD Sexually Transmitted Disease. A term developed in the late 1970`s to replace VD as the latter carried social and moral implications in the minds of many. These social and moral implications interfered with the legitimate treatment of sexually transmitted diseases as a medical problem.
STRAIGHT or STR or STR8 Any person who is not interested in engaging in homosexual activity; A person who does not use drugs; Also used by swingers to denote non-swinging people.
SUBMISSIVE Passive, wishes to be dominated (see Passive).
SWALLOW-THE-LEADER (See Daisy Chain.)
SWAPPING Two couples exchanging partners for sexual activity.
SWEDISH CULTURE Use of the hands especially in massage to sexually stimulate another.
SWF Single White Female.
SWING MAGAZINE A periodical catering to the swinging community. Usually carries personal ads of people wishing to meet others for swinging purposes. May also publish articles of general interest to the swinging community.
SWINGING An alternative lifestyle for consenting adults who enjoy social, recreational sexual activities with others, most often on a couple-to-couple basis, with full knowledge and mutual consent of both partners; single men and women are sometimes involved.
SWINGING LIFESTYLE Style of living with swinging a major component in recreation, choice of friends, business and social life, and intimate relationships.
SWINGING MARRIAGE Marriage incorporating swinging and often, humanistic ideals.
SWITCHING (See Swapping.) To our knowledge, this is not used to indicate the application of switches.
SWM Single White Male.
TAN Tested Antibody Negative for the HIV virus (AIDS).
TEXTILE An adjective used mostly by nudists to describe a non-nudist.
THREESOME Three people, two of one sex and one of the other in a swinging encounter. (see Ménage a Trios)
TICKET A person, usually a woman, brought to a swing party solely to enable the male to gain entrance. The ticket generally has no intention to swing or is not free to swing.

TOYS Sexual aids (see MARITAL AIDS)
TPE Total Power Exchange. A BDSM acronym for a master – slave relationship that includes all of life, not just sex.
TRANSSEXUAL Individual who has undergone conversion from one gender to another through surgery and hormone treatments; or one who is in the process of gender conversion.
TRANSVESTITE A person who receives sexual gratification by wearing clothes identified with the opposite sex, not necessarily homosexual. (see CROSSDRESSER)
TRAVEL Advertiser willing to travel to your home to swing.(see CAN TRAVEL)
TRIAD Three people, two of one sex and one of the other in a continuing relationship of emotional and sexual involvement. Not the same as a threesome.
TRIBAL MARRIAGE A form of pseudo marriage in which all members of a social group theoretically have sexual access to all members (or a large specified subset) of the opposite sex. Tribal Marriage is independent of residence, for example, a motorcycle club.
TRIOLISM Used in personal ads to indicate desire for 'threesomes'. This is a common but confusing usage (see TRIAD)
TUBAL LIGATION Surgical procedure of cutting and tying the fallopian tubes to make a woman infertile. Also called a Band Aid Operation in reference to the small incision made just below the navel to enable the cutting and ligation.
UTOPIAN A subjective term designating more or less of an emphasis on, or a desire for, deep commitments, shared responsibilities, and long-term relationships in addition to, or in place of, playful sexual interactions. (See Recreational and Polyamory.)
UTOPIAN SWINGER A person who practices swinging as a total lifestyle with humanistic ideals.
V A relationship of three people where one person has two partners, but the partners do not have a strong bond. Two dyads having one person in common. The bonding between the people on the ends of the V can vary wildly depending on the people involved. Example, a triad may sexually be a V but emotionally an equal triad.
